We fulfiled a number of orders for large defence enterprises. The way of cooperation where small enterprises acted as outsourcers for large defence plants proved to be very effective and profitable for both sides. But as the practice was not popular in Russia we ran into difficulties with documentation support of the cooperation. We decided that the prospects of collaboration between the military-industrial complex enterprises and small and medium businesses shall be brought up for discussion at the federal level. It was also necessary to improve the regulatory framework of cooperation between the participants.
Together with the representative of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Siberian Federal District of the Russian Federation and Akadempark, Uniscan Research arranged a meeting with small and medium businesses to discuss their cooperation with the military-industrial complex enterprises.
More than 100 people participated in the meeting: Major players of the defence industry, representatives of the federal ministries and departments, and representatives of Siberian Federal District regions.
Representatives of Uniscan Research told about the experience of the Western countries where small companies produced component parts and developed a significant number of technical solutions for weapons and defence equipment.
SMB representatives shared their experience of cooperation with large enterprises: Companies might handle orders but would never be able to manage the overwhelming flow of permits they need to legitimate such activities. The experience shared became a basis for discussing amendment to the legal framework of cooperation between large enterprises and SMBs.
As a result of the meeting, orders were made to amend the legal framework of cooperation between the military-industrial complex and SMBs.
