First, we introduced the Theory of Constraints into the manufacturing control of prototyping workshops. That helped us to fulfil all the orders and time and reduce the period of production by three times.
Workshop for Entrepreneurs
After that we decided to share the experience and arranged TOC workshops for fellow entrepreneurs together with the Ministry of Education.
We helped our key partner to introduce the TOC into the production process. As a result, POLUS-ST reduced the turnaround time and decreased the number of overdue orders.
Workshops for teachers
In 2011, we arranged a series of TOC teaching workshops for Novosibirsk universities together with the Ministry of Education.
We tried a number of project portfolio management tools but the simplest and most efficient one was Kanban. With it we could see the work in progress and shorten the project downtime.
After that we decided to use Scrum for each individual project. With the methods of handling the changing requirements we could manage client expectations much better and develop what the clients really needed and not just what was given in the statements of work.
